Q. What is Emotional Intelligence?

A. Emotional Intelligence (EI) is learning to reason with your emotions at work, enabling you to make better business decisions, deal more effectively with stress and engage in honest communication.

Coaching in Emotional Intelligence provides the skills to recognise, understand and manage emotions at work, and supports the learner in applying these new skills back in the workplace, making them accountable for their own learning.

Objective

Incorporate EI strategies into leadership and management style to maximise organisational impact.

Target Group

Executive managers with leadership expertise who are seeking further development.

Content

  1. 360-degree online questionnaire, both pre and post-coaching + feedback report.
  2. Personally tailored, modulated coaching program (between 3-8 sessions, group and individual) adopting cognitive-behavioural restructuring techniques.

Individual Outcomes

  1. Identify habitual patterns of behaviour
  2. Develop resourceful ways of evaluating and responding to workplace events


Organisational Outcomes

  1. Motivating staff to achieve organisational objectives
  2. Employing communication techniques that promote honesty, openness and empathy

Case Example

The HRS Group facilitated an EI Executive Coaching workshop for the Directors and Associate Directors of property managment group  CBRE-Ireland. EI strategies were incorporated into client relationship management processes to enhance competitiveness and further develop client loyalty.
